History

BOREALDESIGN was founded in 1991 by Natalie Simard and Eric Blouin, two engineers who were passionate about the outdoors. They have since formed a solid team of equally devoted members who have committed themselves to maintaining BOREALDESIGN at the vanguard of innovation and at the head of the pack.
After more than 16 years of development, BOREALDESIGN’s exports account for nearly a third of all sales. Today, its products can be found in the United States, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. A test market is also currently underway in Japan, and since 2007, the enterprise has opened its doors for business in Australia through a new distributor. The diffusion of the company’s products is in full expansion.
Recently, BOREALDESIGN has undertaken a changing of the guard to ensure the continuation and the development of the enterprise. Eric Blouin, cofounder of the company, has become the president and will continue to pursue his work as the Director of Operations. Since January 28, 2008, two new executive partners have joined him: Guy Bourassa, Sales Director; and Jacques Boulanger, the new General Director. The cofounder, President and General Director, Natalie Simard, withdrew herself from the company to undertake new professional challenges and to consecrate more time for her family.
