History: 

BoréalDesign is a Canadian company with a rich history in kayak innovation. Established in 1991, it has been a leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality kayaks for both inland waterways and ocean exploration. Their kayaks are popular among sea kayakers, particularly in eastern Canada and Scandinavia. Kayak Distribution acquired BoréalDesign in 2012 and has revitalized the brand since, adding ABS thermoformed designs to the mix.

Under this new ownership, BoréalDesign continued its legacy of producing high-quality kayaks, but with a focus on affordability and accessibility.  The majority of sales are through independent dealers and large format sports/outdoor retailers.  Every year BoréalDesign sponsors the Défi kayak Desgagnés Kayak Challenge in Quebec, a fundraising activity for Young Musicians around the world.
